 “Front desk was amazing both at check in and check out! One door man was attentive, polite, and added [much] to the overall service. “[We were] looking for a place to spend our first wedding anniversary… We loved: 1) The comfort of the bed! 2) The beautiful and personalized TV. The chocolate covered cherries and wine, with a hand-written note congratulating us on our anniversary. 3) The delightful, easy-to-start fireplace. 4) The spaciousness of the room. 5) Not one, but TWO choices for a morning shower. 6) Aveda bath accessories... very nice! 7) The wicker hamper… how pleasant. The patio, with a view of the bay. 8) The lighting... very soft and warm. 9) The overall sense of comfort, courtesy and safety. All in all, it was one of the nicest hotel experiences we have had. “The front desk people were wonderful. They were friendly and helpful… I absolutely loved your hotel. My room was one of the nicest I have ever stayed in. The location was perfect. Close to most everything I wanted to do in Monterey itself and an easy drive to Highway 1 to get me everywhere else I wanted to go. I loved the balcony overlooking the fountain and enjoyed hearing the sound of the water as it cascaded down. I can't wait for my next opportunity to visit your lovely hotel again.” – 09/23/09

“Everyone I came in contact with at Hotel Pacific behaved as though the most important part of their job was to make sure that we were comfortable and that we enjoyed our weekend in Monterey. Whether it was the front desk clerks making our dinner reservations or the doorman giving me directions around town or the housekeepers who kept our room spotless, everyone there was so genuinely gracious that we're already planning our next trip… We travel quite often, and I just wish every hotel we stay in could be as pleasant and welcoming as Hotel Pacific.” – 09/18/09

“We were out in Monterey celebrating our 20 year wedding anniversary, where we usually go to spend (our) special occasions or a weekend getaway. We had a reservation at our usual hotel (The Lighthouse Suites) and upon arrival we were told that we were being moved to their sister hotel (The Anton). When we arrived to our new suite, it was horrible, and this was not the place we imagined we would be spending our 20 year anniversary. We were upset because we traveled approx. 400 miles to get to Monterey and were looking forward to staying at the Lighthouse. We basically got booted from our romantic suite to a total dive…. We called AAA to see if there were any hotels in the area with availability, and being a Friday night at 5PM we were afraid that we would not get anything nice. We were referred (to) 2 other hotels, and we ended up choosing Hotel Pacific. When we arrived at Hotel Pacific we were greeted by Michael the front desk supervisor, who we had… explained our dilemma too… (over) the phone... He turned our nightmare into the greatest anniversary we could have ever imagined. We loved Hotel Pacific so much we stayed an extra night and we will now be returning to Hotel Pacific for our Monterey Getaways. We really would like to commend Michael (Mike); when we got there he saw how upset we were and he told us not to worry and that our bad day would change from this moment on, and it did!! He really went above and beyond the call of duty... Loved everything about the hotel; the ambiance, the fountains, the balcony, and I really loved the bath salt, that was the best. Also, the bed was the most comfortable we ever slept on at a hotel… Thank you for turning our anniversary into the best anniversary ever.” – 07/17/09
