Are cameras allowed inside the Monterey Bay Aquarium?

Yes, cameras are allowed inside the aquarium, and you’re welcome to take photos and videos for your personal use. For commercial photography, you will need prior written permission from the Public Relations Department. Keeping the safety of visitors as its highest priority, the Monterey Bay Aquarium prohibits the use of tripods and monopods.

What type of exhibits does the Monterey Bay Aquarium have?

Among the aquarium's numerous exhibits, two must-see favorites include The Open Sea Exhibit showcasing life in the open ocean from sharks to turtles swimming around, and the Giant Kelp Forest, an underwater forest, which is the tallest aquarium exhibit in the world.
