A really lovely place to stay in downtown Monterey. Several garden areas with water features, lovely suites each with a balcony. Likely especially nice in summer time. Food is good for breakfast too.

Just a fond advice to vacuum a bit more. The best hotel we’ve been to in a while 1000/10. I love the Bath and shower combo for the luxury suite. Will recommend to anyone who visits Monterey Bay

Stayed at Hotel Pacific recently and had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is a gem. The room was great and clean, hotel is pet friendly which was a huge reason we selected it plus the location is fantastic. The hotel is steps away from fishermans wharf, great restaurants and breweries, and cannery row. Only complaint I had was that the elevator was out of service during the entirety of our trip was a challenge bringing luggage up and down to the room.

My friend and I stayed here on our girls trip (roadtrip) when we stopped in Monterey. We loved how the hotel felt very quintessentially-Monterey and it fit the vibes well. Our room and bathroom were super clean and when we notified staff that we were missing handsoap, they delivered immediately. Like MANY hotels in Monterey, this does not have AC! We happened to be in Monterey on a warmer day, but we left the patio door cracked open (3rd floor) and the whole room cooled significantly overnight. You likely won’t need the AC for most nights in Monterey! We appreciated having parking right underneath the hotel too.

Thank you for a personal follow yo and returning the items with such efficiency. The Hotel itself has a perfect location, cooling authentic rooms and a great local vibe. Definitely suggesting for a stay with a family.

We stayed at the Hotel Pacific for one night on our trip down the California Coast. I typically book rooms at major chain hotels, but the they were quite pricey in Monterey. I saw good reviews for the Hotel Pacific and was able to get a very good rate online for a Junior Suite. The room was spacious and far exceeded our expectations! It included a living area, small dining table, a fireplace, and had a balcony overlooking a pretty courtyard. The room even had wine glasses, a corkscrew and bottle opener. The bathroom was huge and had both a walk-in shower and a separate tub/shower combo, which I've never seen in a hotel. The bed was very comfortable too! The hotel was located just a couple of blocks away from a street lined with restaurants. The only downsides were 1) The elevator was out of order when we visited, so we had to carry our luggage up to the 3rd floor up a very narrow outdoor staircase. 2) We lost power for about 30 minutes the morning we checked out, and 3) The breakfast area is located in a meeting room that can only be accessed from outside. It was raining the morning we were there, so that wasn't great, but on a nicer day, it wouldn't have been a problem. They offer a complimentary full breakfast, including breakfast burritos and biscuits and gravy, and it was delicious! The hotel is also located in close proximity to Fisherman's Wharf and Cannery Row, and just a couple of blocks from numerous restaurants, bars, and shops. We really enjoyed our stay and wish it could have been a little longer!

Stayed at Hotel Pacific on short notice after a booking mix-up on my end. Samantha at the front desk was great — patient, kind, and genuinely helpful when I was tired and frustrated. She made what could have been a stressful situation easy. The suite itself is beautiful: spacious, quiet, with a fireplace and separate sitting area. Would stay again.

Beautiful hotel with extra space, fireplace, 2 showers / baths in a mission decor that was very nice!
